Language Arts:
  We created a flash card about ellipsis and brackets -- symbols used in writing when we are quoting from sources.  We took our Hunger Games Part II test.
  Yale charted their MAP scores.
  Princeton presented their grammar team reviews.
  All papers were passed back and missing reports were checked.
  Current events were discussed and collected.

Homework:
  Study for Skill Assessment tomorrow
Literary elements:  Point of View (1st person, 2nd, 3rd objective, 3rd omniscient, 3rd limited), Setting -- time, place, environment;  Characterization -- round/flat, static/dynamic, major/minor, protagonist/antagonist; character traits examined by psychology, physiology, sociology
Irony (three types -- situational, dramatic & verbal)
Genres of literature

  Simple Solutions #16

  Hunger Games -- read chapters 19 & 20  (create a one page summary of each chapter -- 5 sentence minimum, 10 sentences maximum for each)

ONGOING ASSIGNMENT DUE 10/8/14 -- go online and complete these exercises;  on looseleaf write the website, list the # of the exercise and the name; list your score.
