What is poetry?
Paragraph #1 introduction (use a good lead, a quote, a question, etc.)
Paragraph #2 Body -- the denotation of poetry (define poetry, what are the components of poetry, what techniques does a poet use to create ound?)
Paragraph # 3 Body -- the connotation of poetry (feelings spoken through poetry, visualization, impact of poetry on people)
Paragraph #4 Body -- your insights on the importance of poetry; is it less scary than when we began this unit? enjoyment of writing poetry
Paragraph #5 Conclusion -- wrap it up; give some insights on poetry;what you've learned. etc.
Princeton & Yale -- poetry collection folders due Monday, April 8th.
Simple Solutions Test on 45 to 48 on Monday, homework packet will be collected.

Novels:
To Kill A Mockingbird -- Harvard (read chapters 23, 24, 25 and complete guided reading)
Flowers for Algernon - Harvard (finish two poems written about the story).
Thirteen Reasons Why - Princeton (finish Guided Reading sheet; cassettes 4 & 5)
Nothing but the Truth - Yale (finish logs; examine your character; prepare for performance assessment on characterization)
